ACH — Africa Community Hub

Trust & compliance

We would rather be clear than impressive.

This page sets out what ACH is, what it is not, and how we handle the responsibilities that come with supporting community savings groups. It contains no certification, licence or partnership claims, because none have been established.
  • Regulatory posture

ACH is a technology platform for community savings. ACH does not hold a banking, deposit-taking, lending or insurance licence, and does not claim any regulatory approval it has not obtained. Where regulated activity is involved, it is carried out by an appropriately regulated partner, not by ACH.

  • Non-custodial architecture

ACH does not receive, hold, move or guarantee members' money. Groups continue to handle contributions between themselves or through a regulated partner account. ACH records and coordinates the activity; it is not the custodian of any funds.

  • Partner-dependent financial services

Any financial capability that requires a regulated provider depends on that provider being engaged and live. Until then, the capability is described as planned. ACH has no announced partnerships, and will only name one once it exists and both sides have confirmed it.

  • Data protection

We ask only for information with a clear purpose in running a savings group, and we explain how it is used in our Privacy Policy. Group information is visible only to that group and to ACH staff who need it to operate the platform.

  • Security principles

Access is controlled by account, role and group. Records are isolated at the database level so one group cannot read another group's data. Sensitive credentials live only in ACH's backend environment and are never placed in the website or app code.

  • Responsible disclosure

If you believe you have found a security issue, contact us before sharing it publicly and give us a reasonable period to respond. We will acknowledge reports and keep the reporter informed.
